We're two days away from beginning our journey to the mountains. The anticipation is building. My stomach has been queasy for a week because I'm so anxious for this to happen and happen smoothly. It sounds like not a lot to ask, but in preparation, no matter how much you plan ahead, it always seems like everything comes down to the wire. We were given a very generous loan from my mother and today I purchased a G5 PowerMac PC on my account which was a little nerve wracking, considering I don't think I've ever spent that much money in one sitting.
Regardless, we're almost completely ready to go. We're all packing up our stuff and tomorrow we're having an "encore" going away party at a bar called 2A where Dan Ryan works. The plan is to get as many people there as possible and make enough money in tips to pay for our rental car. Might not happen, but it's good to have goals.
So once we're down there and in the process of recording there will be no more talk of these petty financial woes and only talk of sounds and songs. We appreciate all of you who are following us around for the ride. This is a dream that in two days will become a reality. We're fortunate to have this opportunity, so regardless of stress, last minute snags and general running it down to the wire, it's all going to be worth it once we get down to the cabin.
