Nostalgic much?

I remember coming out of high school unsure of what I would do with my life. Then I remember quitting college for a short time, thinking I didn't want or need it. I went back, but I'm not really sure how much the education has helped me. What did help me was playing drums in a few different bands. Each band taught me something different.

I contribute my abiliity to play with a click track (metronome) to an electronica outfit called Defy in Oxford, Mississippi. I contribute my ability to rock to my largest passion prior to The Station Myth, called Glanton Gang... also from Oxford, Mississippi. The Glanton Gang disbanded, much because of my quitting I believe, but they broke up into two different bands: The Wasted Lonely's and Goodmorning Powerheart. Both bands still play, and both are better than ever. You can find them here:

Another thing that has helped me along the way is watching a handful of people from my past absolutely NOT give up on their lofty aspirations. There was a group of guys a year below me in high school that cared about music as much I did. They are still together. They are called Halo Stereo and they live in Murphreesboro, Tennessee. You can find them here:

Micah Whitson, our graphic designer/biggest fan is another person from my past doing, unabashedly, what he has always wanted to do. You'll find his link to the right of this text. He's called m|sane industries, and he's a genius.

What's the point? These few people are some of the only people I can think of who have not compromised. Luckily, that's all the inspiration I need. If we all compromised less, then we'd all not have to compromise as often.

Sincerely,

Whitt
