My dreams are of highways

Hey, it's Bellury speaking to you. So I started to write a post gushing about how amazing it is to be on tour and how much I love the road, but I'm sure you can all figure that out by coming out to see us play.

First, we'd like to thank all the bands that we've played with already. The shows have been fun and a real learning experience. It's not always the easiest to play in front of a bunch of people who have no idea what we're about, but the challenge to bring people with us into our music is very rewarding and we're excited to see the fruits of our labor.

Also, thanks to all the people that have let us crash with them. We're really fortunate to have so many good friends in different parts of this fine country.

Here's a couple pictures of what we've been doing while not playing music.

The Station Myth and the lovely and hospitable Van Natta's.

Tagging Ohio's most informative sign with a Station Myth sticker.

Some guy at a random guitar shop in Indiana asked us if we were "Road Dogging it". We promptly slapped him in the face and then went bowling.
(just kidding he was nice, we just thought he was funny.)

And here's a video of Dan Ryan bowling. Don't ask, just enjoy.

So there's a little slice of our road life. We're playing Nashville tonight and Murfreesboro tomorrow night, come on out and bring your friends.

Leaving today.

Hello all, it's Whitt. Today marks the beginning of our tour. We will be driving to Cincinnati later today, an unfamiliar place to all of us. We look forward to seeing parts of the Eastern U.S. we've never seen, but I think we look most forward to just being out of the city.

Check to see if we're playing close to you. Here's the FULL TOUR SCHEDULE.

We wanted to let you know that we are going to chronicle our journey on this blog. So just because we've left the city doesn't mean we've left your laptops. Check back often and we'll share photos/thoughts/van trouble.

For now, check out some photos from our last show at North Six in Brooklyn. The show was a huge success all the way around, and the venue is by far our favorite we've ever played in. Thanks to all who came.

These pictures were all taken by my sister, Joy Whitt.

North Six Show Approaching.

Thanks to our friend, Matt Ferrin, we've got these posters (and others you'll see in the future) in our possession. We think they're lovely.

We need your help.

This, our good friends and fans, is the van we will use to get to your town. Unless, of course, you live overseas.

Why do we need your help? Well, she (the van) has given us a good bit of trouble, as 16-year-old automobiles tend to do. We need all of you out there to send your warmest positive energy to our van and us.

We're not trying to be new-agey about this, but we don't know what else to do. I guess when you have no technical skills to help yourself, you must turn to superstitious avenues. We're trying to embrace her, make her our Station Wagon, and let her know we're not mad at her for letting us down in the past.
